About

  • My name is Paul Francis Meni and I am your coach. I was born in Dallas, Texas, adopted to a family in Baltimore, Maryland and as a child I lived in Kansas, Florida, Virginia, West Virginia, and briefly in Ohio. After my mom and dad divorced, we moved quite a bit. I joined the Marine Corps in 2003 and served for 11 years and ended my active service in 2014. I have seen close to twenty different countries in varying roles, some for pleasure, others for business, and find myself at home in Gaithersburg, Maryland where I live with my wife.

  • I’m not entirely sure why I have chosen this to be my life mission. I would probably also tell you that it chose me. My dad was a quadriplegic and at 8 years old I was treating bedsores; at 11-12 I could change a colostomy bag; by the time I was 16 I could set him up for his kidney dialysis and almost every other medical procedure he needed after 40 years confined to a wheelchair. In his humility, he gave me a gift I can never repay—to be present for people while they’re at their most vulnerable. While it’s not a debt I can repay, I will try to pay it forward in every interaction I have with you.

  • Currently, I hold a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in personal training; a certification from Dr. John Rusin as a Pain Free Performance Specialist; a Bachelors in Psychology and will be entering a masters program in the fall 2025 for sports/performance psychology. I also carry a comprehensive liability insurance plan. Each of these have certainly contributed to my understanding and value, but to be honest…my best education has come from working with people like you. I have worked intimately with over 700 clients. All ages, genders, strength levels, and with a wide spectrum of difficulty in life. I have learned from working with veteran amputees and have experience with a very wide rage of psychological diagnoses. I’m not scared by much and IF, for some reason, I don’t think I am qualified to help you, I’ll walk alongside you in the direction of someone who might.
